Essen Pharmacy Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru - Fill your prescription

Fill your prescription

Walk in with your prescription — we’ll fill it on the spot, usually in a few minutes. Our pharmacist explains the dose, the timing, and what to watch for, in English, Mandarin, or Bahasa.

Essen Pharmacy Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru - Ask a pharmacist

Ask a pharmacist

Cough that’s hung around too long, headache that won’t quit, skin or stomach issues, supplement questions — walk in any time we’re open. No need to be sure it’s “bad enough.” No appointment, no purchase needed.

Essen Pharmacy Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru - Medication review

Sit down and go through your medicines

A 15-minute appointment to go through every medicine you’re taking — what each one does, when to take it, and any clashes to watch for. Useful if you’re on two or more medicines or juggling prescriptions from different clinics. Bring the bag.

Essen Pharmacy Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru - Walk-in health checks

Walk-in health checks

Free blood pressure check, no appointment needed. Blood sugar, cholesterol, and H. pylori tests also at the counter — pricing on request.

We’re not in a hurry.

Essen runs the kind of counter where the pharmacist sits with you instead of pointing to the queue. Bring your prescription, your parents’ medicine bag, or just a leaflet you don’t quite understand — a qualified pharmacist will go through it with you, in English, 华语, or Bahasa, until it makes sense.

Things our neighbours ask us

A few quick answers to questions we hear most often at the counter. For anything not covered here, message us on WhatsApp — we’ll get back to you the same day we’re open.

For prescriptions, walk-in checks, and quick questions — no. Just walk in any time we’re open: Monday to Saturday 9am–8pm, Sunday 9am–6pm. For a medication review (when you’d like 15–20 minutes for a deeper chat about long-term medicines), WhatsApp us to book — most weekday and Saturday slots work; we just need a heads-up so a pharmacist is free when you arrive.

Yes. Walk in with your prescription — we’ll fill it on the spot if we have the medicine. We stock common chronic-condition medicines (diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol) for refills.

Yes. Our pharmacist and counter team speak English, 华语, and Bahasa Melayu. If your parents are more comfortable in Mandarin, bring them along — we’ll explain their medicines to them directly, not through you.

The blood pressure check is free — walk in any time, no appointment, no purchase needed. Plenty of people drop in just to know it and walk back out. The blood sugar test, cholesterol full lipid panel, and H. pylori test are paid — pricing on request, just ask at the counter or message us on WhatsApp. Whichever check you’ve come for, the pharmacist will explain what the result means before you leave — no pressure either way.

Yes — that’s exactly what a community pharmacist is for. Bring the box, the leaflet, or just the prescription, and we’ll go through what it does, when to take it, what to watch for, and how it fits with anything else you’re already taking. No purchase needed; the conversation is part of what we do.

Yes — you’ll find us on both. We list a selection of vitamins, supplements, over-the-counter items, and skincare on Shopee and Lazada. Stock varies, so not everything we keep in-store is online — if you can’t find what you’re after, WhatsApp us on 012-788 4057 and we’ll point you to the listing or let you know if it’s only in-store.

Screening service at Essen Pharmacy Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru

Walk in. We’ll check it for you.

The blood pressure check is free — no appointment, no purchase needed. Two minutes at the counter and you’ll know your reading. If it’s fine, you’ll know it’s fine. If it’s a bit high, we’ll explain what it means, whether it’s worth following up with your doctor or just watching for now, and what tends to help.

We also do paid walk-in tests at the counter — blood sugar, cholesterol (full lipid panel), and stomach bacteria (H. pylori). Pricing on request; the pharmacist explains the result on the spot before you leave.
